Newspapers

Our collection of newspapers can be accessed by all users within the library. 

Due to the evanescent nature of newspapers, these items are not included in the card catalog nor are they circulated.

The library subscribes to: The Grundy Register, Times-Republican, The Des Moines Register, and The Wall Street Journal.

 

The current week's issues are displayed on the west end of the Biography section.  Older issues are located on the shelving facing the display. 

Please contact library staff if you are looking for information in additional or older newspapers.  Many publications and records can be accessed digitally, on microfilm, or are held as archives in the Genealogy collection.
